1. What We Collect

When you use Statement Converter, we collect:

  • Email address - used for sign-in only. We do not send marketing emails.
  • Uploaded PDF files - processed temporarily and deleted after conversion unless you explicitly retain a PDF for feedback.
  • Usage data - conversion counts, page counts, and file sizes to enforce plan limits. No transaction content is stored.
  • First-party analytics - page paths, referrers, IP address, browser user agent, anonymous visitor ID, and sign-in events to monitor reliability and usage.
  • Feedback submissions - if you opt in to share a PDF for analysis, it is stored temporarily and deleted after 30 days.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you via email sign-in link (powered by Resend).
  • To process your PDF and return the converted Excel file.
  • To track usage against your plan quota.
  • To measure site visits and diagnose inconsistencies between hosting analytics and browser-based analytics.
  • To improve extraction accuracy (only with your explicit opt-in).

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Statement Converter:

  • Resend - for sending sign-in emails.
  • Stripe - for payment processing. We never see or store your card details.
  • OpenAI / Anthropic - for AI-assisted table extraction. Only document structure (headers, column layouts) may be sent; we strip personally identifiable transaction data where possible.
  • Railway - cloud hosting infrastructure.
  • AWS S3 - temporary file storage for uploads, conversion results, and feedback PDFs you choose to share.

4. Data Retention

  • Uploaded PDFs - deleted after processing unless retained for feedback. Retained source PDFs expire automatically if not attached to feedback.
  • Converted Excel files - stored temporarily for download, then deleted.
  • Account data - retained while your account is active. Contact us to request deletion.
  • First-party analytics logs - retained for 180 days for operational reporting and abuse prevention.
  • Feedback PDFs - deleted after 30 days if shared.

5. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Files are processed in isolated containers with temporary storage for uploads, generated results, and opted-in feedback. We do not share your data with any third parties beyond what is listed above.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You may also withdraw feedback PDF sharing consent.
